The Presenters

Melanie is a wife, mother, grandmother certified professional coach, business manager, and avid music lover. With a master’s in education, Melanie has spent her adult life providing women and couples with opportunities to learn and develop skills to improve their lives, their relationships, and their families. As co-founder of Heart of a Women, Melanie is passionate about helping women develop a synthol profound connection with God, connect with their feminine heart, and discover who God created them to be.

Shawnee McDowell lives in Salt Lake City with her amazing husband and 2 beautiful daughters. She enjoys outdoor adventure, the beautiful mountains, cooking (and tasting), and reading. As an MSW, LCSW Shawnee loves helping families in her work as Neonatal Social Worker at Primary Children’s Medical Center. Both Shawnee and her husband, Danny, have been members of the Heart of a Women/Warrior Heart teams for over six years. She is excited to be sharing at the Heart of a Woman retreat.

Celeste Jensen has spent her entire adult life has been spent ministering to women of all ages. She is passionate about helping each woman identify themselves as daughters of a king and letting that knowledge transform them. She has spoken to groups and taught group discussions on developing a closer relationship with God regularly since 2006. She is excited to be working with the Heart of a Woman team to help women uncover who they truly are and turn their hearts towards Him who made them.

Amanda is a mother, adoption advocate, runner/crossfitter, outdoor enthusiast, lover of the arts and is thirsty for life. Amanda has loved the time she has been able to spend teaching, counseling, and being with women and girls of all ages over the past 13 years. She has a passion for people and loves to hear the stories and journeys of others. She looks forward to spending time with the many amazing women that come to retreat.
